Foundation and Community Philanthropy Statewide Satellite Town Meeting, 7PM, June 28, 2004

The Community Vitality Center is partnering with ISU Extension and its network of County Extension offices, and other partners including the Iowa Council of Foundations, Iowa Department of Economic Development, Iowa Area Development Group Community Foundation, University of Iowa Non-Profit Resources Center, and others to provide information, education, and a forum for local discussion on foundations and philanthropy via a state-wide satellite program. The satellite program will air at 7PM on June 28th. Local meeting sites will be able to call in questions to a panel of experts. Following the satellite broadcast, a local countywide discussion forum will be conducted to identify local initiatives and discuss next steps. About fifty downlink sites have been scheduled so far in counties across the state.

To find the nearest discussion meeting location, go to the ISU Extension Calendar http://dbs.extension.iastate.edu/calendar/ .. Enter "Communities" for the Category and June for the Month. Select "all counties" and click on enter. Then click on June 28th on the calendar to bring up a list of counties that are hosting a site.
